Natural Born Killers
United States releaseSeptember 13, 1994
Trent Reznor assembled and produced the soundtrack to Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers as a turbulent collage of songs, dialogue, broadcasts, and environmental sound. The sequencing moves like an alternate cut of the film, shifting rapidly between violence, satire, intimacy, and media overload.
Nine Inch Nails contributed Burn, an edited Something I Can Never Have, and material connected to A Warm Place. The project demonstrated Reznor's ability to shape many artists and fragments into one continuous narrative, anticipating the dramatic sound design of his later screen work.
