The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!
Initial releaseNovember 1, 2007
Trent Reznor produced Saul Williams's The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!, with Atticus Ross contributing additional programming. Williams's poetry, political force, and vocal performance meet dense electronics, distorted rhythm, and sharply constructed space.
The album was initially offered directly to listeners through a choose-your-price download, extending the independent distribution ideas Reznor was exploring at the time. Reznor's production extends across the full album instead of appearing as a guest credit or isolated remix.
