Work with Nine Inch Nails
Pino Palladino contributed bass to Hesitation Marks and joined the expanded Tension ensemble in 2013. His touch and phrasing supported arrangements that gave bass a more exposed melodic and rhythmic role.
The reworked live version of Sanctified is the clearest example of how Palladino’s presence changed the shape of an older NIN song without treating the studio recording as fixed.
