Halo 36
TRON: Ares
TRON: Ares is the first feature-film score credited to Nine Inch Nails rather than to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The soundtrack uses synthesizers, programmed percussion, distorted guitars, and quieter ambient cues.
The album was released as Halo 36 and accompanies the film’s movement between the digital Grid and the physical world. “As Alive as You Need Me to Be” was released separately before the full soundtrack.

About the Release Recording, artwork, and release history
Halo and score
The release is simultaneously a Nine Inch Nails Halo and the original motion picture soundtrack, joining the primary catalog to screen composition.
Connected song
As Alive as You Need Me to Be introduces the soundtrack through a standalone Halo relationship before the complete program.
Remix continuation
TRON Ares: Divergence reworks the score as a separate remix album with its own collaborators, sequence and catalog identity.
