Halo 29
Not The Actual Events
United States release
December 23, 2016
Not The Actual Events is the first installment in the trilogy completed by Add Violence and Bad Witch. Its five songs reintroduce a hostile, tactile Nine Inch Nails sound built from overloaded guitars, degraded electronics, and unstable voices.
It is also the first release to credit Atticus Ross as an official member of Nine Inch Nails. The notorious physical component arrived as artwork and lyrics coated in loose black powder, making contact with the object part of the experience.
