Directed by David Lynch and released on June 28, 2013, “Came Back Haunted” opens with a seizure warning and cuts rapidly among Trent Reznor in pale makeup, a shifting red cube, insects, and distorted figures. Lynch combines strobes, abrupt edits, and repeated close-ups with imagery that never settles into a single narrative.
