Gone Girl
United States release
September 20, 2014
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross scored Gone Girl for their third feature-film collaboration with director David Fincher. The score uses soft synthesizer pads, electronic textures, and low-frequency tones.
Calm passages are interrupted by distortion and abrupt changes in volume as the film’s investigation develops. Columbia Records released the album digitally and on physical formats in 2014.
