Major Editions Documented release formats

1997 / Double VHS

The commercial Halo 12 edition pairs the Self-Destruct documentary with the video collection in a heavy slipcase and clear printed outer sleeve.

Planned LaserDisc

An announced LaserDisc edition accepted preorders before cancellation and never reached commercial release.

2004 / Unreleased DVD

A rebuilt two-disc DVD was announced with the Appendage archive film, galleries, commentary, alternate material, and easter eggs, but stopped before release.

2006 / DVD prototype

The unreleased dual-layer DVD prototype entered circulation in December 2006 with acknowledgment from the Nine Inch Nails camp. It remains archival rather than a commercial Halo reissue.
