Original Score
Challengers
United States releaseApril 26, 2024
For Luca Guadagnino's Challengers, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross treated competition, desire, and memory as parts of the same physical rhythm. Bright synthesizers, pounding electronic percussion, and recurring melodic figures turn tennis exchanges into dance-floor momentum.
The score frequently pushes into the foreground instead of simply supporting a scene. Compress / Repress adds vocals to the project, while the instrumental cues continually redirect the film's energy between its three central characters.
